Madeline Jensen is a ceramic artist based in Brooklyn, New York. 

She spent her early career in French language & translation, eventually lecturing and living for several years in Lyon. This experience spawned a deep appreciation for traditional European cooking and the culinary arts more broadly, and in turn a desire to create functional ceramic pieces to build a unique tablescape and foster a feeling of togetherness and fun around meals.

Since then, her work has expanded beyond tableware into sculptural forms focused on craft, utility, and design. She sees her ceramics as a practice in spontaneous forms, and leans into the medium's roots in the unpredictable, ancient, and imperfect. In each piece, there is a sense of fantasy, irreverence, and play.
